Explaining Islam's Prime Directive & Answering Objections

Posted in response to:

The Key Point of the Whole Argument

Wherein  Citizen Warrior discussed one of the principal objections to the fatal fact of Islam, which Citizen Warrior refers to as its "prime directive", that being global conquest.

This should be the key point of any public education we engage in: That it's an essential part of Islam to wage jihad until the whole world submits to Islamic law. Once that point is accepted, all things that need to be understood can be understood easily.

But how can you get someone to accept that fact as a fact?

Citizen Warrior next brought up an attempt to edit the Qur'an. That set me off on a long comment which was more than blogspot would accept, so here it is.

K.M. and others are either suffering from supreme cognitive dissonance or practicing al-Taqiyya.   "Allah's Word." "Allah's Word." God damn it, what part of that key phrase escapes comprehension?????!  Have all lost track of the concept of literalism?  The Qur'an is not relative, it is literal!!!

"Allah's Word."  Let that sink in for a moment.

Allah commanded a pen to write. What it wrote is on a sealed tablet, guarded by angels. It is protected from editing, immune to change.  "Allah's Word. "
Allah recited it to Jibril, who recited it to Moe. Moe recited it to the Muslims, who memorized it.  "Allah's Word."  Have you no clue??? "Allah's Word." !!!  "Allah's Word." !!!

I have a clue for you.

2:59. But those who did wrong changed the word from that which had been told to them for another, so We sent upon the wrong-doers Rijzan (a punishment) from the heaven because of their rebelling against Allâh's Obedience. (Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. I, Page 305).

What did the Jews do?  Who said that?? Whose word is it?

7:162. But those among them who did wrong changed the word that had been told to them. So We sent on them a torment from heaven in return for their wrong-doings.

What did those Jews do?  Whose word??

14:28. Have you not seen those who have changed the Blessings of Allâh into disbelief (by denying Prophet Muhammad  and his Message of Islâm), and caused their people to dwell in the house of destruction?

What did they do to earn Hell?  Whose word??

50:28. Allâh will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat.

50:29. The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves."

"Allah's Word!"

"Allah's Word!"

"Allah's Word!"

Has it sunk in yet??

6:115. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the AllHearer, the AllKnower.

"None can change His Words." Whose words?  Which words??

18:27. And recite what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad ) of the Book (the Qur'ân) of your Lord (i.e. recite it, understand and follow its teachings and act on its orders and preach it to men). None can change His Words, and none will you find as a refuge other than Him.

"None can change His Words" Whose words?  Which words???

10:64. For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allâh, this is indeed the supreme success.

"No change can there be in the Words of Allâh,". Whose words? Which words????

30:30. So set you (O Muhammad ) your face towards the religion of pure Islâmic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allâh Alone) Allâh's Fitrah (i.e. Allâh's Islâmic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalqillâh (i.e. the Religion of Allâh Islâmic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. [Tafsir AtTabarî, Vol 21, Page 41]

"No change let there be in Khalqillâh"

35:43.  (They took to flight because of their) arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil. But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else), but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So no change will you find in Allâh's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allâh's Sunnah (way of dealing).

"So no change will you find in Allâh's Sunnah"

Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Number 174:

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd:

I heard the Prophet saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and whoever will come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never become thirsty after that. There will come to me some people whom I know and they know me, and then a barrier will be set up between me and them." Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri added that the Prophet further said: "I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know what changes and new things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me! "

"'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me!"  Far from mercy: roasting in the fire. Changed the religion after me: edited Allah's Words; introduced innovation.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Number 585:

Narrated Abu Hazim from Sahl bin Sa'd:

The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor (forerunner) at the Lake-Fount, and whoever will pass by there, he will drink from it and whoever will drink from it, he will never be thirsty. There will come to me some people whom I will recognize, and they will recognize me, but a barrier will be placed between me and them." Abu Hazim added: An-Nu'man bin Abi 'Aiyash, on hearing me, said. "Did you hear this from Sahl?" I said, "Yes." He said, " I bear witness that I heard Abu Said Al-Khudri saying the same, adding that the Prophet said: 'I will say: They are of me (i.e. my followers). It will be said, 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you left'. I will say, 'Far removed, far removed (from mercy), those who changed (their religion) after me." Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said, "On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam)."

"they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam)."  What did they do to earn the fire?

From 5:3
...This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion....

Exactly how will you improve that which is perfected?!? You will not improve Allah's perfection, you will only defile it.  Got a clue yet? If not, there is nothing I can do to help you.

Fard: religious obligation. Two basic kinds: fard ayn: universal binding on every individual, such as salat & zakat; also defensive jihad when Dar-al-Islam is invaded.  Fard al-Kifaya: binding on all eligibile individuals until a sufficient number have answered the call; offensive jihad.

From Reliance of the Traveller, Book o, Chapter 9, Section 1:

"Jihad is a communal obligation (def: c3.2).  When enough people perform it to successfully accomplish it, it is no longer obligatory upon others "

"If none of those concerned perform jihad, and it does not happen at all, then everyone who is aware that it is obligatory is guilty of sin, if there was a possibility of having performed it."

"As for subsequent times, there are two possible states in respect to non-Muslims.

The first is when they are in their own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a communal obligation, and this is what our author is speaking of when he says, "Jihad is a communal obligation," meaning upon the Muslims each year."

That is Islamic law. Jihad is defined in the previous section, as war against non-Muslims.

"Meaning upon the Muslims each year". What does that mean? How is it interpreted?  What did Moe do?  In the last 9 years of his life, he started a war every six weeks on the average.

Got a clue yet?  I have a clue for you.

"o9.8: The Objectives of Jihad

The caliph (o25) makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians (N: provided he has first invited them to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya, def: o11.4) -which is the significance of their paying it, not the money itself-while remaining in their ancestral religions) (O: and the war continues) until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax (O: in accordance with the word of Allah Most High,

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Koran 9.29),
"

What does the caliph do?  Why?

o9.9

The caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim

What does the caliph do?  Why??

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

What?  Fight. Terminal condition: only Allah is worshiped; everywhere. There is the obligation to conquer the entire world. That is the why of o9.8 & o9.9 in Reliance of the Traveller.

"Muslims don't do that". Explain the conquest of Arabia, Africa, Asia & Europe. Muslims don't do that, so what the Hell is your explanation?  How did Spain & Bosnia become Muslim?

"Muslims don't believe that." They ain't Muslims, they are hypocrites. Go to http://www.quranbrowser.com and search for hypocrites.  Then read 9:38-39.

I have another clue for you.

13:36. Those to whom We have given the Book (such as 'Abdullâh bin Salâm and other Jews who embraced Islâm), rejoice at what has been revealed unto you (i.e. the Qur'ân) , but there are among the Confederates (from the Jews and pagans) those who reject a part thereof. Say (O Muhammad ): "I am commanded only to worship Allâh (Alone) and not to join partners with Him. To Him (Alone) I call and to Him is my return."

"but there are among the Confederates (from the Jews and pagans) those who reject a part thereof. " Islam is not cafeteria Catholicism; it is all or nothing. Selectivity is proscribed!

What is the definition of believers? The answer is in 8:2 & context, not clearly explicated. You need to track down several key words.

49:15. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allâh and His Messenger, and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allâh. Those! They are the truthful.

"strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allâh" What does that mean?  I have a clue for you.

9:111. Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success .

"They fight in Allâh's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. " That phrase defines believers. No jihad, no belief; hypocrisy.

Muslims are obligated [fard al-kifaya] to conquer the entire world for Allah. Why?  What did Allah say?  What did Moe do?  I have a clue for you.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have."

What was Moe ordered to do? Muslims are ordered to do that, too. I have a clue for you.

33:21. Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad ) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much.

Muslims are commanded to emulate Moe. Moe was commanded to conquer the world.

From Sahih Bukhari 4.53.386
"Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, has ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah Alone or give Jizya (i.e. tribute); and our Prophet has informed us that our Lord says:-- "Whoever amongst us is killed (i.e. martyred), shall go to Paradise to lead such a luxurious life as he has never seen, and whoever amongst us remain alive, shall become your master."

What did Moe order them to do?  Why?

"Allah's Word."  Get it yet?

2. immutable

4. authoritative
